On August 20, two green sea turtles were successfully reintroduced to their natural habitat in Honda Bay, Barangay Sta. Lourdes, Puerto Princesa City.

The release was orchestrated by PSSg Clive Ivy Salinas, Admin/PSMU PNCO, under the oversight of P/Lt. Col. Leopoldo Ferrer Jr., commander of the 2nd Special Operations Unit-Maritime Group (SOU-MG). This event was carried out in collaboration with the Palawan Council for Sustainable Development (PCSD), led by Jemo Becira, PDO I.

According to the SOU-MG, the turtles were handed over to the PCSD office by a concerned citizen. The turtles were released into the sea at approximately 3:30 p.m.

The PCSD and the PNP-Maritime Group urge the public to remain vigilant and report any sightings of endangered species or illegal activities that could jeopardize the environment.
