Raising Awareness for Nebraska’s Native Reptiles
Nebraska Reptile Month serves as an important reminder of the beauty and ecological significance of reptiles in the state. From art contests to live reptile exhibits, these events provide opportunities for everyone to learn more about these often-underappreciated creatures.
As reptiles face challenges in the wild, including habitat loss and climate change, it’s crucial to raise awareness about their role in Nebraska’s ecosystems. Through education and hands-on experiences, Nebraska Reptile Month aims to foster a greater appreciation and understanding of these species, encouraging conservation efforts and responsible pet ownership.
